Choosing to care for children...

It was not a difficult decision. The fact is, I love children. To be able to see through their eyes as they discover new things and to be able to join in their laughter is how I have chosen to spend my time. I am a very tolerant person with an enormous amount of patience. This coupled with my love of children makes me a nurturing care giver.

Children require a person to teach them and prepare them to interact positively in social settings. Learning to play with one another harmoniously will teach children respect for others as well as themselves. Most people have their own ideas about successful disciplinary procedures and I welcome you to share your ideas with me. Your child is a unique individual and will be treated as such.

Most children have a talent whether it be painting, verbal expression or even reading and they should be free to express themselves respectfully. Encouragement develops self confidence.

Children respond to their total environment. In the homelike atmosphere provided by Jennifer's Family Childcare, the young child can form friendships with other children and will relate with one or two consistent adults. There is always plenty of attention and equipment to go around. A small situation allows for spontaneous and flexible programming with an emphasis on sharing and helping.
